Your details, and this site

Kirby Captures is Ben Kirby, a videographer based in the West Midlands. This page explains what happens to the details you send me, and how I measure visits to the site.

When you send an enquiry

The enquiry form asks for your name, email and the details of your project, plus a phone number, date, location, budget and how you found me if you choose to give them. The form passes them to my inbox through FormSubmit, a form-to-email service.

I only use them to reply to you and, if you book, to plan and deliver the job. I don't add you to a mailing list, and I don't sell or share your details. I keep enquiries only as long as I need them; if you book, I keep what the booking and my accounts require.

While you're typing, your browser keeps a draft of the form on your own device so nothing is lost if the page reloads. It's deleted once the enquiry is sent, and it's never sent to me on its own.

How I measure visits

To see which pages and films people find useful, I use two analytics tools: Umami and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Neither sets cookies or builds a profile of you, and I only ever see totals, such as:

I use this only to improve the site and my work. It isn't used for advertising.

Don't want your visits counted? Switch it off for this browser. It stays off until you clear this site's data.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details I hold about you, have them corrected, or have them deleted. Get in touch through the enquiry form and I'll sort it. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
